If you have purchased the model attached with an anti-vibration cup, check with your dealer whether it has been removed. Otherwise, please request for service. If you are not able to contact the installation department, we will arrange our technicians to assist you.

Normally, it is not necessary to add or change the refrigerant unless:

• You have to replace the compressor, or


• The copper tubes or the connecting parts are broken and you need to have them repaired and welded.

When you find the indoor air is not fresh, just turn the Exhaust Air to “Open”. Then, the exhaust lever will be opened to bring in fresh air and exhaust stale air. But if it is in “Close” position, the room temperature will become lower.

Normally it takes 2 working days. If required, we can verbally give you the quotation over the phone and our technician can provide you professional advice during the service.

Window-type unit: 
The model and serial information can be found on the left corner of the base pan after you remove the front grille.

Split-type unit: 

No problem. However, customers should keep original receipts of the installation and purchase for future reference. 

You can find it in the Service Manual or inquire our Customer Services Department. 

There is no particular reason. Our technician will advise you of the situation after inspection.

When the air conditioner is on all night under high humid weather, the indoor humidity is extremely low because of dehumidification. If you open the windows immediately after you turn off the air conditioner, the moisture conditioner will rush in thus forming dew on the wall. Under these circumstances, you should not open the windows or unit the room tempature raise up naturally. 

Usually, a new unit does not have the problem of leakage when the heat is dispersed properly with its auto-evaporating system. But if the humidity is very high or the heat-dispersed unit is clogged with too much dust (thus inhibiting the effectiveness of the auto-evaporation), and there is trash in the base pan after the longtime usage of the air conditioner, there may have leaking. Therefore, it is recommended to install a basin as a precaution.

WINDOW TYPE UNIT 
My unit does not leak. Is that normal? 
Yes, the window-type unit is designed with evaporating function. With the help of the fans to blow the water on the chassis over the condenser (hot coil), the water is heated up and evaporates in the air. This makes the air conditioner lower its temperature, empower its cooling capacity, save power, and minimize the leakage. 

Does a new unit leak?
No, a new unit does not leak if it is properly installed and the heat is properly dispersed. However, in very humid weather, excessive condensation water will be drained away to the outside through the hose at the back end. 

There are 2 air conditioners with the same model installed at the same place. Why is one leaking but the other not? 
Even though the location is the same, the slant can be different. Or one of the rooms is not totally enclosed (e.g. the door or window is open), so there is too much water in the air to be collected for evaporation. Excessive condensation will then be drawn off by the hose at the back end. 

Is it normal if there is condensation at the bottom of the unit? 
Yes. When the condensation on the evaporator (cold coil) is passed onto the condenser (hot coil) via the base pan, the base pan will be cooler. It will then condense the vapour of the outdoor hot air into condensation. 

Is it normal if the chassis of a window-type unit contains water? 
Yes. When the weather is very humid, the evaporation process may take a longer time, leaving the excessive condensation in the chassis. So the chassis is made to be durable with anti-rust coating. 

SPLIT-TYPE UNIT 
Why does the front panel of the indoor unit leak even though the air filter is cleaned?
Because of the leakage of refrigerant. You have to find out where the refrigerants leak out from, then repair it and add refrigerant. 
The condenser and drain pipe are blocked up with dust and impurities because of the humid weather.

Is it normal if there is condensation?
It is normal to have condensation in the thermal insulation pipe because the pipe has a very low temperature and condensation will be formed when it meets hot or humid air. But if you find condensation at the air discharge of the indoor unit, please ask for examination.

The room temperature should be over 18°C. If it is below 18°C, the condenser will become frosty and the compressor of the air conditioner will temporarily stop operating. 

It depends on the weather. You can set the temperature between 24-26°C or at which you feel most comfortable. 

There is no absolute answer. The temperature of an air conditioner may vary according to the dimensions of the room, its cooling capacity, the duration that the cooling operation is, the availability of rooftop and the direction of the sunlight etc.

Window-type unit:

If it is warm and the ampere checked by our technician is normal, everything should be fine.

 For all types and models :

Remove the air filter, wash it with water, dry with a cloth before reinstalling.

It means it is functioning properly. If there is any problem, the light will be blinking.

If the filter light is blinking, you should clean the air filter and press the “Filter Reset” button. Use the remote control to turn on or off the air conditioner. Do not use the in-house power switch. 

For a ceiling cassette AU unit, if the green light on the front panel is blinking, that means the basin is going to overflow and you need to clean it up.

For the wall-mounted AS series, If the timer or operation light is blinking on a wall-mounted air-conditioner, there may be abnormality detected, please contact your service team.

This could be caused by many different reasons. Please ask the technician for assistance.

It is measured by watt.
1 unit is 1 kilowatt (kW) per hour. Take AK910FNR as an example, the power is 1.05 kW and every hour it will consume 1.05 unit. Currently, the charges for Hong Kong Electric is $1.29 per unit respectively. If you live on Hong Kong side, the power consumption per hour will be: $1.29x 1.05= $1.35. 

Because the air filter is too dusty. When the quantity of the airflow to the condenser is low, the temperature will drop below 0°C and thus make the condenser frost. To avoid this, you should clean the air filter regularly. 

It should be the problem of return air. One may be faster than the other. The slower one (may be blocked) will have a lower temperature because most of the air it takes in is the cool air just blowing out. This leads to the misinterpretation of the thermostat that the room temperature is cool enough for the compressor to stop operating temporarily from generating cool air. 

This may be caused by several circumstances. Please request for service and the technician will give you professional advice.
